From an academic perspective, Liviu Sotre is a Computer Science Engineer, having graduated the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers. Yet his interest in management and his love for the family business led him to change “professional” gears and deepen his studies in the field of strategic management. He has successfully acted as Lidas CEO for more than 16 years.

In 2018 he knew it was the right moment for a performance leap for Lidas, and thus he started a business transformation process that moved the organization from a „family business” with local impact” to a valuable player in the national & international bakery and pastry products market. The first thing he did was gather around him an eager Management Team ready to contribute to the redesign of their company, using strong organizational design principles.

Together they build the next level of organizational maturity for Lidas, moving away from departments and embedding continuous improvement & business process thinking at the core of the company DNA. In this journey, he supports his colleagues in their development and motivates them to reach their maximum potential.
