Chief Operating Officer at Kostopulos Dream Foundation
For the last 12 years Michael dedicated his career as working for Kostopulos Dream Foundation, a non-profit organization who provides services for people of all abilities. As the Chief Operating Officer, Michael oversees the successful development and execution of Kostopulos Dream Foundation operations and logistics strategies, comprehensive management solutions, strategic business development and the delivery of outstanding customer solutions. Michael’s main focus is to provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that Kostopulos Dream Foundation has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure all operations including programs, facilities, service groups and volunteers, IT, are operating with efficiency. Meanwhile, he also worked for 7 years for Wells Fargo Bank, as a sales and service leader in the Internet Services Group, managing financial products, implementing regulations and overseeing fraud services.
Before relocated to the USA, Michael worked for the Romanian Department of Defense, Bucharest, Romania. In his role as Officer of International Relations, Michael coordinated and led the international missions, exercises and participated in negotiations with NATO and NON-NATO countries for Romanian Department of Defense. He graduated the Army Captain’s Career Course, US Army Field Artillery School, Fort Sill, OK, Commandant’s List Graduate, the Army Brigade Staff Training Course, British / Romanian NATO Training Center, and the Peace Support Operations Course, British / Romanian NATO Training Center.
Michael graduated with an M.B.A. from University of Phoenix, and graduated with Delta Mu Delta International Business Honor Society. He received a J.D. degree from University of Bucharest, and a bachelor degree in Business Administration and Management and Military Science from “Ioan Voda” Military Academy. Michael also graduated from the Salt Lake Chamber Leadership Utah program, Class of 2016. Michael serves as a board member of the American Camp Association and other non-profit agencies.
Michael and his wife Nelly have twin boys, Andrew and Patrick. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, traveling and coaching his twins’ soccer team.
